Digital Plybond Tester
Internal bond strength of paper and board — model TI/PB/MG/BS
The Digital Plybond Tester determines the internal bond (z-directional tensile) strength of paper, paperboard and corrugated board. A specimen is bonded between two loading blocks using double-sided tape and the blocks are pulled apart at a controlled speed while the load cell captures the peak force required to separate the plies. The microcontroller calculates and displays the result in kPa. Plybond strength is critical for predicting the performance of board in converting operations such as scoring, creasing and printing.
