Pin Hole Tester
Detects micro-holes and porosity defects in paper, board and foil
The Pin Hole Tester detects pin holes, micro-perforations and porosity defects in paper, aluminium foil, laminates and coated materials. The test piece is clamped between a light source and the observation window. Any pin holes allow light to pass through and appear as bright spots on the dark surface, which are counted over a defined area. The digital counter records the number of pin holes detected. This test is critical for barrier packaging, pharmaceutical blister foil, food-grade liners and any application where even microscopic holes can compromise product protection.
