Pendulum-type GSM measurement — quick and direct
The Quadrant Scale is a pendulum-type mechanical balance specifically designed for rapid determination of the grammage (GSM — grams per square metre) of paper, board, tissue and similar sheet materials. The specimen is cut to a standard area using the supplied GSM round cutter, hung on the wire hook, and the pointer swings to indicate the GSM value directly on the calibrated quadrant arc scale. No power source is needed and the instrument gives an immediate reading, making it ideal for shop-floor checks where speed matters more than microgram accuracy.
