Rub Resistance Tester (Sutherland Type)
Linear reciprocating rub test — model TI/RT/ST/05
The Rub Resistance Tester (Sutherland Type) evaluates the scuff and rub resistance of printed or coated surfaces using a linear reciprocating rubbing motion. A weighted block reciprocates over the fixed specimen at a controlled number of strokes, and the transfer of ink or coating is assessed visually or with a densitometer. This tester complements the rotary Scheifer-type Rub Proofness Tester by providing a straight-line rubbing action that simulates the handling and transport conditions encountered by printed cartons, labels and packaging. The digital counter tracks the stroke count with preset and auto-stop functions.
