The challenge
Torque drift on the capper was only being detected downstream, after pallets of product had already been sealed and palletised.
Our approach
Digital torque testing was placed at the line with a fixed hourly sampling plan, backed by vacuum leak and thickness checks and a simple pass/fail band per SKU.
The outcome
Closure rejects fell sharply within the first quarter and capper corrections now happen inside a single production hour.
