The challenge
Seal failures in finished pouches could not be traced back — resin lots, extrusion settings and sealing parameters were all being changed at once.
Our approach
We installed MFI testing at resin intake, tensile and COF testing on film, and heat seal testing on the pouch, then linked all three to one batch record.
The outcome
Seal integrity issues are now isolated to a single process step within a shift instead of a week.
