Blown bottle defects were being reported by customers, with no reliable way to identify which mould cavity produced them.
Our approach
Thickness distribution, stress viewing and perpendicularity checks were introduced per cavity on a rotating sampling plan.
The outcome
Problem cavities are now identified during the run and serviced at the next scheduled stop.
